1960s, 2000s: What IS the benefit of hindsight?
Welcome to the swinging 60s as you’ve never seen them before.
Juliette’s career is on fire, her marriage and family are in melt-down, and a red-hot goddess wants her husband. But those are the least of her worries when she wakes up on her lounge room floor in the year 1961. How on earth did that happen?
Now she’s got to navigate the world 50 years of date, with out any of the modern technology she is used to. Will she get on with the changes, will she enjoy being able to use the benefit of hindsight for real and will she ever want to go back to how life was before?
A time- travel journey in and around Melbourne. Melbourne is a city ideal for such a story since it has many places you can go to visit and experience the history as Juliette does in the book:
Melbourne is the capital and most populous city of the Australian state of Victoria. It’s the second most populate city in Australia as a whole. It was founded in 1835 and was only declared a city by Queen victoria in 1847. It’s got some interesting history though – for one, it was the city where the Victorian gold rush of the 1950s was focused. When the country became a federation in 1901, it became the capital until1927. It’s hosted the Olympics, been named an UNESCO city of culture and literature and has many old buildings housing cultural events and companies.
It has a long history or railways and trams too – so you can easily pretend you’ve stepped back in time when visiting many places in the city.
