What you need to know before your trail
School is over so Lucy is planning to celebrate: tonight she’s going to find Shadow, the mysterious graffiti artist whose work appears all over the city.
No one has ever seen him, but he sits in the dark, spraying colour and art on the walls of the city. Lucy admires his work but she’s also very keen to meet the man behind the artist.
But where can she find him? Turns out the worst date she’s ever had might be the one to point her in the right direction. He goes with her on the search for Shadow but they find out more than they bargained for.

Whilst the setting of the story is never made clear, the map features a few locations in rural Victoria as this is where the author lives and inspiration often comes from home towns and cities!
There are two places in particular which are apt for such a story – Mount Beauty and Bright. Maybe this is where Shadow got inspiration for his art and designs!
