The fire crew is based at Aberfashie on the road to Inverness. Glencul is another village mentioned too
Fictional but there’s a castle on the edge of the village and. The castle of Duncul is set amongst the trees and damp earth. There is the raging river Ash, the landscape which is a carpet of leaf mould beneath the beech trees
