#IrishWritersWed with Swirl and Thread
Today there’s a new girl on the blog – Mairead – who is here to introduce a fantastic hashtag and idea on twitter to spread the word about great Irish Writing. #IrishWritersWed is her baby so who better to introduce it and let you know how you can join in!
Hello to all you wonderful book trailers.
My name is Mairead Hearne and I blog at swirlandthread.com. As an Irish person, I am always so very aware of the fantastic writers here on my own doorstep. Once my bookblog was up and running I decided I wanted to give something back ~ my way of saying ‘Thank You’ for all those wonderful books written by Irish Authors.
I started up a hashtag #IrishWritersWed and invited Irish writers to guest post on my blog every Wednesday. The uptake has been overwhelming and the content has been so varied. I love receiving the mail in my inbox with a new and always interesting piece of writing. All have been so gracious with their time and I do hope that that support continues.
I was delighted when the lovely Susan aka The BookTrail, said she would help spread the word Yeah!!
Hopefully this collaboration will spread even further the names and the talent of the wonderful resource in writing that Ireland has to offer.
