The son of a well known chef in Brussels, Philippe longs for companionship and so  is delighted when he gets a new baby sister, Rose. As he grows older, he is very patriotic about Belgium, and enjoys welcoming visitors. However, when he innocently makes friends with a cunning thief, Tom and his sweet daughter Zelie, Philippe winds up having some adventures far from home!
