Why a Booktrail?
2000s: Who doesn’t want an adventure?
2000s: Who doesn’t want an adventure?
Billie Summers has always been quite content in her little cottage in the Cotswolds, sure half the house hasn’t been renovated, but what’s the point when it’s only her! Working part-time at her uncle’s bookshop and planning 3-4 writer retreats with her best friend allows her to pay the bills. What more could anyone want?
That is until Oliver Forest, the bad boy of the book world, turns up to one of her retreats and points out that Billie hasn’t done anything very adventurous.
Billie is starting to wonder if it isn’t time she take control of her life.
So she starts a list: start taking some chance and have those adventures! Taking of taking chances, Oliver keeps showing up …
Sadly not real but there are plenty of places very similar in both name and locations. Billie lives here and works in her uncle’s bookshop. She always plans to write a novel one day and even have a writer’s retreat where aspiring novelists can come and pen their next best seller
The Cotswolds is the ideal place to do this and more! Scenery which shines and where you don’t have to invent anything as this is the pretty British countryside where life is good. But when Billie wants an adventure, she might have to head over to the USA to get it. It involves cooking for a writing retreat but what about home? Is this where the heart is?
There are many writing retreats and nice cooking retreats in the area. Calcot Manor is a popular choice for holidays and for retreats
