2000s: Cluedo meets Saw in a locked hotel room
At eleven years old, Morgan Sheppard solved the murder of a teacher when everyone else believed it to be a suicide. He became well known and managed to get a gig as TV’s “resident detective,” solving the more typical tawdry daytime talk show mysteries such as “Who is the father of my child” and ” In he having an affair”.
One day, Sheppard wakes up handcuffed to a bed in an unfamiliar hotel room. Around him, five strangers are slowly waking up, as well. Soon they discover a corpse in the bath. And Sheppard is challenged to put his deductive skills to the test. One of the people in the room is the killer. He has three hours to solve the murder. If he doesn’t find the killer, they all die
There’s no hotel called The Great Hotel in London you’ll be pleased to know as this is a very special hotel you would not want to stay. There is a room of people, unknown to each other and a set of instructions given by an anonymous stranger in a horse’s head costume.
“As you probably know by now you have checked into a hotel room,. The Great Hotel in central London to be exact. You are on the forty-fourth floor. It’s not a luxury room but my people have made a few modifications.
Firstly, they sealed the doors, the ducts and the window. There is no way out of the room, unless under my express orders. You cannot escape, unless I want you to. In the event of a fire, well…
It took a lot to get you all here. More than a few trips in luggage containers . Luckily none of you woke up. The point is the staff think that there is a very exclusive party ging on in this room and have been asked to leave you alone.”
