What you need to know before your trail

When Lauren takes a photo of a stranger on a beach and shares it online, she has no idea what will come of that single click.

Her daughters are surprised that she posted a photo without consent, but it’s only when she starts to get anonymous messages about the woman on the beach that she deletes the photo. It’s too little too late, and the messages escalate, prompting Lauren to confess to the woman. The woman has her own dark story, one that might explain the messages, but Lauren isn’t convinced. Then her ex-husband begins to harass her, telling her she shares too much online and brought this on herself.

But that’s just the start of her problems…

Travel Guide

Venice

There’s not many beaches in and around Venice despite the water! But the best area for sandy walks and lazy afternoons reading is the Lido – an almost 7-mile long sandbar sitting in the Venice Lagoon and Adriatic Sea. … The loveliest beaches are apparently in front of Lido’s historic grand hotels.

“Turquoise waves lap around her feet and the low frame of her deckchair. Dark-red hair glints in the morning light and her book hangs loosely in her hand. It’s Utopia wrapped up in a single square shot and I can’t resist.”

Dublin

The fair city gets a brief mention as this is the background for the story. Major points of interest include Monkstown and the network rail system. But the real connections and points of interest in the story here are the links and clicks in the online world.

Setting and location doesn’t always matter – it’s what online that seems to count here
