What you need to know before your trail

Cherringham (fictional) might first appear calm and non descript at first but the local landmark is a nice manor house. Owned by Victor, the local recluse, he is almost 90 years of age and has no intention of leaving his beloved home. It may be crumbling around him but he’s not going anywhere. His children have deserted him and his wife henpecks and controls everything he does or tries to at least. So when he dies in a fire in the house, he still refuses to leave and so dies with the flames.

But what secrets does Cherringham Manor hold and why did Victor die for them?

Travel Guide

Mogdon Manor, a manor so important and loved by Victor Hamblyn. Victor is its almost 90 year old owner, old and decrepit  just like the house. But this manor in its own grounds has  secret a ‘forbidden room; tucked right at the top of the building where Victor is found dead in the fire.

There’s something here that the locals might be able to help with as this is the kind of place that outsiders would not be aware of really. Lucky then that the detectives who come to investigate are Sarah who is from here originally and is returning following her divorce and Jack a retired murder detective from NYC.

So, the house is to reveal its secrets, a forbidden room where a fire starts, a room scarcely used. Was it just the fault of old wiring or something else?

The man’s daughter may have a career but the son is an alcoholic and lives in squalor nearby.

Cherringham seems to be cherishing some rather unusual secrets.
