“The Laboon once swallowed whole villages. When the crabs crawl to the forest and the birds stop singing and the tide disappears into the mist, you must run.”
This is a view, an insight into so much more than the tsunami which hit the coast of Thailand on Boxing Day 2004. This devastating event affected so many people such as Krista, an English girl on holiday with her family in Thailand, and a native boy, Marti. Marti lives on the sea with his indigenous Moken people, but wants to escape to the West.
How does one event affect so many people and what are the far reaching consequences of that one day?
