This book was inspired by the author Cynthia Well’s journey to village of Quat Dong in Vietnam where she was working for a relief agency in Hanoi. The embroideries created in the village are those incorporated into the book so to read and story and sense the inspiration behind them is a joy and a real insight into the culture of a small village.
