What you need to know before your trail

Laurie is pretty sure love at first sight doesn’t exist. After all, life isn’t a scene from the movies, is it? But then, through a misted-up bus window one snowy December day, she sees a man she knows instantly is the one. Their eyes meet, there’s a moment of pure magic…and then her bus drives away.

Laurie thinks she’ll never see the boy from the bus again. But at their Christmas party a year later, her best friend Sarah introduces her to the new love of her life. Who is, of course, the boy from the bus.

Determined to let him go, Laurie gets on with her life. But what if fate has other plans?

Travel Guide

London

Riding around London in a bus is something millions of us do everyday but we don’t usually look through the window and fall in love, do we?

“From now on, if anyone asks me if I’ve ever fallen in love at first sight, I shall say yes, for one glorious minute on 21 December 2008.”

Try and find your own bus stop like this one:

““There’s a guy perched on one of the fold-down seats in the bus shelter. This can’t be his bus, because he’s engrossed in the hardback book in his hands. I notice him because he seems oblivious to the pushing and shoving happening right in front of him, like one of those fancy special effects at the movies where someone is completely still and the world kaleidoscopes around them, slightly out of focus.”

Booktrailer Review

Susan: @thebooktrailer

This is a book I wasn’t sure if I was going to like. A bit cheesy I thought, a bit predictable and cute?
Well no, I was wrong, it’s heartwarming and lovely and I’m in two minds about catching as many buses in London as I can in the hope this book is like a Christmas fairy.

We’ve all sat on a bus on a cold rainy day and daydreamed. Maybe even spotted a cute someone through the steamed up window?

This could easily be a movie along the lines of Love Actually. Perfect escapist fare for the festive season.
