Adam and Ulrika have a fabulous life. He is a pastor and she, a lawyer. Daughter Stella dreams of going on an adventure to Asia but she is arrested for murder. Their perfect and happy lives in the small town of Lund just got very complicated indeed.
An interesting and perfectly apt setting for a story of this nature. It’s one of the oldest cities in Sweden dating back to 990, but is also a city of contrasts where 1,000 years of history blend with modernity. A city of two faces you might say and that bodes well for a crime thriller of this calibre.
The city acts as a background to the story but many of the places, even the crime scene can be found by walking around the city. The action taking place in a small area really adds to the tension and sense of claustrophobia. Small communities should know each other and be safe, but this one is definately not that!.
Lund used to be the seat of an archbishopric that held sway over all of the Nordic countries. You shoudl definately visit the grand cathedral and also the revered university. Pollhem school is real too, but a sad scene in this book.
A story of uncertainty, history and secrets seems ideal to take place in Lund!
