Travel Guide

Travel along the Chain from Massachusetts to New Hampshire

It all starts in Plum Island where the book opens and then the story takes us on a chain of vents in and around the region..the locations are secondary to the plot and action. That’s the point though, the story could happen anywhere…. it’s the chain that’s important…

Plum Island

A beautiful clear fall day. The tidal basin filled with birds an a few fishermen digging for bait on the mudflats., This part of Plum Island is a microcosm of this part of Massachusetts. On this side of the tidal basin, you have the smaller houses on the marsh; on the east side, you find the big empty summer houses that face breakers of the Atlantic Ocean. The west side of the basic is all blue-colour firefighters, teachers, and crab men who live here all year round. The east side begins to fill up with the wealthy summer folk in  May or June.”

Where the novel opens. Northern Boulevard has some nice houses…

Newburyport

Just up the coast. A town of one main street and places to buy thing you might need if you’re on the chain…

Rowley..

Another village about to hear about the chain…

Booktrailer Review

@thebooktrailer

What a thriller this is! A trail with murder as the link between one place and another. Exciting and very unique. What a premise! If you’re old enough to remember the chain letters, remember the fear and guilt some people felt if they broke the chain and didn’t ‘ pass it on’. Blimey, this is that childish game brought to freakingly shocking reality.
