Thirty years later, their old record label wants the band back together for a huge money-making concert. But the wounds are deep and some need this gig more than others.
There’s no real locations as such in the book but The Thunder Girls is clearly set in London and around the UK. There’s meetings at top record offices, wanders around vintage stalls in Spitalfields, a posh club in Shoreditch and this book is actually being made into a play so the West End will soon be a top location to REALLY see the book come alive!
The Nolans were a band who formed again after many years similar to these in the book (well not completely of course!) and the author credits singer Coleen Nolan with advice on what it was like to travel around the UK, appear in theatres etc.
