This is not a novel of settings as such. However the main setting is the woods – anonymous woods. There are several places which do exist in the UK where Slaughter is part of the name and these are on the map to help you find where the story could be set.
The real place in the novel is the inside of Willow’s mind. The landscape is one of grief and extreme pain. But it’s also one of lyrical prose and heartfelt emotions.
