A chase through New York state with the FBI
Locations are not central to the plot despite the female lead character going on the run. The book could take place anywhere but we know it’s Cornwall in New York state as the couple wanted to move somewhere accessible to New York’s airports. The FBI from Manhattan come to see the wife of a man who is at work. They suspect something and want to talk to her. Imagine the horror. This could happen anywhere as the main setting is the one within a person’s mind and in their suspicions of what their partner is up to and who has just knocked at their door.
