Sadly, the police are not too alarmed when a spate of suicides seems to be happening amongst the elderly. They dismiss them as routine, but one man thinks that something a lot more sinister is wrong.
Tom Thorne is that man. The man who has roughed a few too many feathers in the force so that now he’s back in uniform. Even more reason not to take notice of him. But that’s not going to stop him investigating the matter.
Someone will listen… a man with nothing to lose will definitely listen.

This is Tom Thorne’s London – the London he’s served for years both in uniform and in higher ranks. Even now ‘demoted’ as such the streets are as mean as ever and he feels an affinity with them. The possilbitiy that elderly residents around the city are seemingly committing suicide is bad enough but this is nothing something Tom is willing or able to accept.
Someone stalking London’s most vulnerable and with the power to make people take their own lives? Someone in one of the most populated cities in the world stalking its streets through shadows and using these shadows to strike. The streets of London are not safe but neither now is an elderly person’s home.
