2000s: A doctor and patient have an affair. That is just the start of the troubles…
When Rachel meets Luc, the attraction is instant.
But she is a doctor, and he is her patient.
She gives him the drugs he needs – but in doing so, risks everything.
And when a secret is exposed, they’re both in the firing line.
Not all patients are telling the truth.
Most of the novel takes place in the doctors surgery and around fictional settings in Salisbury. The city provides a fascinating backdrop to the novel however as it sets the scene of a quaint English countryside practice not far from Stonehenge.
In fact there is a site close to this monument of history that proves to be infamous in the story. You see the city as the doctor drives past various parts of the city on her way to work or to see a patient. The setting is secondary to the plot and characters.
