Tansy needs an escape and so she ends up on a Lonely-Planet-led Asian Grand Tour. She is not really likeable (for one she is a drug addict and enjoys a moan) as well as being a bit awkward with the rest of the group.
During her travels she falls for Max, a fellow traveller, and becomes a more wordly well travelled person as a result. However there is someone on her trail that is not so nice…..

Although fiction, this is almost like a sit in your armchair and be guided around lots of countries kind of book. Tansy, travels through Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, China, Tibet and Nepal and she sees and shows the countries in ways you will probably not have seen before.
This is a girl who loves to travel who needs to travel and has such fun when she does it. To see these places such as Mount Everest through her eyes and also obviously that of the author is quite a treat and this really is the manuel of a great journey that we really want to copy now (well not all of it as you will see )but most!
A travel book written by a traveller with travelling in her blood. There’s a full map at the front of the book with Tansy’s journey there. Anyone who has been backpacking then will definitely see the little details of the back packer lifestyle!
