Authors who take you on a world tour

Playing a game around the world

There are a small selection of novels that jump from one location to another and use locations to show distance, remote spots that seem to be unconnected, people of different cultures connected in some way. The games in the novels below are not the kind of games you would want to play in real life, but the clever way they bring characters together is quite something.

So, for a worldwide tour with a difference…..

the game scott kershaw

The Game with Scott Kershaw

Locations – Manchester, USA, Paris

Across the globe, five strangers receive a horrifying message from an unknown number. THE PERSON YOU LOVE MOST IS IN DANGER. To save them, each must play The Game – a sinister unknown entity that has a single rule: there can only be one winner. IF YOU LOSE, YOUR LOVED ONE WILL DIE.

The chain adrian mcinty

The Chain with Adrian McKinty

Locations – Massachusetts to New Hampshire.

Remember those chain letters of years ago…this is MUCH worse….

Travel along the Chain from Massachusetts to New Hampshire. It all starts in Plum Island where the book opens and then the story takes us on a chain of vents in and around the region..the locations are secondary to the plot and action. That’s the point though, the story could happen anywhere…. it’s the chain that’s important…

the One John Marrs

The One with John Marrs

Locations – -London, Birmingham, Australia

One simple mouth swab is all it takes. A quick DNA test to find your perfect partner – the one you’re genetically made for.

A decade after scientists discover everyone has a gene they share with just one other person, millions have taken the test, desperate to find true love. Now, five more people meet their Match. But even soul mates have secrets. And some are more shocking – and deadlier – than others…

Enjoy but beware of the rules with these games…..
