Fly with the author to Paris
The author as you might expect, was actually an air stewardess when she was 21, flying for Gulf Air. She made lots of friends and there were some nice crew she says in her author note, so writing a rom com was a no -brainer!
The attraction of writing about cabin crew was a lovely way for the author to write about the daily tasks involved in the job and to write about the difficulties that many people don’t even think of. There’s always the intrigue too that you never really know who you are sitting next to on a plane.
Paris of course, is a great location to end up in as passenger or crew and the city of lights is well evoked in the novel. Perfect for romance!
