Or so the staff say when they greet the Hamiltons at the idyllic Asana Fushi resort in the Maldives.
And it starts off that way: champagne picnics on powder-white sand, snorkelling in the serene blue sea and moonlit walks under the stars.
But lies lurk beneath the luxury because each of the guests has a secret, and they’re not the only ones.
How can a once-in-a-lifetime trip turn into the holiday from hell?

Malé
The resort in the novel is of course fictional and is called Asana Fushi. The characters fly into Malé and then out from there by seaplane. Imagine! That sounds amazing!
“Cara can see at least a dozen seaplanes bobbing in the water as she walks across the wooden boards of the jetty behind Zach. The quickest mode of transport for guest to get from Malé to one of the resort islands, a hundred and thirty tiny green jewels floating in an aquamarine paradise.”
The island of the resort:
“Every thirty metres or so, smaller paths bard off to one side, leading down to one of the twenty beach villas set along one side of the island so they catch the view of the sunset each night. Located far enough apart to still be highly exclusive.”
