2000s: In a quiet village, darkness is closing in…
Detective Jake Jackson moved to the countryside for a quieter life. And he finally seems to have his wish – spending his days immersed in nature, and his evenings lazing by the fire.
But the return of an old case shatters the calm, and pulls him into the shadowy world of a secretive group serving the extravagant whims of the elite.
As the web around Jake tightens, he must determine who he can really trust in his small community
Little Sky
A fictional village somewhere in England. Merton is on the map as it sounds like Mryton like in the book. Also the village of Brill sounds and looks a bit like Little Sky does in the book.
There’s not much in Little Sky – but there is a shop which doubles as a bar. There’s no school however but there is a little church although it doesn’t have a vicar. Jake has a lovely house however with a LIBRARY INSIDE!
Worth reading for this alone – oh and then get yourself to the ‘The Jolly Nook,’ pub to meet the neighbours.
