2000s: An intoxicating love story for the ages
An intoxicating love story for the ages following Theo and Magdalen, childhood neighbours, as they are reunited for the first time in seven years to celebrate a family wedding in the sleepy Italian village they grew up in. Confronted with the ghosts of their pasts, Theo and Magdalen must face both the burning tension between them and the long-buried secrets that threaten to tear their worlds apart – and could possibly separate them for ever. . .
Chivasso
Chivasso is a commune about 12 miles northeast of Turin. It is situated on the left bank of the Po river, near the influx of the Orco river. The 15th-century cathedral has a façade ornamented with statues in terracotta. The 18th-century church of Santa Maria degli Angeli owes some of its design to Bernardo Antonio Vittone.
What a place to come for a holiday! Well, it’s a holiday of sorts. It’s a banging time anyhow!
Oxford
The novel does start in Oxford but to be fair, Italy is where the action is!
