Stella and her husband Adam are on the trip of a lifetime, a three-week tour across Europe. But then the unthinkable happens. On the last day of their holiday, a Parisian café explodes with Adam inside.
What initially looks like a gas leak turns personal when the gendarmerie identify Adam as the target of the explosion, and they confront Stella with some startling allegations about her beloved husband.
Determined to find out who the man she married really was, Stella follows the threads he left behind. But the more Stella discovers, the more she is forced to believe that Adam’s killers might be coming for her next. Can Stella expose the truth before she becomes the next target?

Paris
A lovely view of Paris in one way – we spend a lot of time in the wonderful 6th arrondissement with its parks and lovely cobbled streets. We are in the middle of where Saint Sulpice is and where the Luxembourg gardens are. The hotel is a real one so imagine going there to read this very book!
On a sad note, there is an explosion in a cafe not far from where they are staying – there is a fictional cafe in the book of course – but this is a sad reminder of that very real incident that happened.
There are a few places such as Nice and Italy mentioned given that they are on a holiday around Europe, but these are secondary to the story.
