As we all know, publishing is a London-centric affair. Well, less so now than it was if the North of England has anything to do with it.

However, HarperNorth – the Manchester-based imprint of HarperCollins­ is a powerhouse in the region, promoting local titles to everyone everywhere:

What is particularly wonderful is the way that the range of indie publishers now on the scene doing great things for their writers.
