Losing Control

Why a Booktrail?

2024: A dead body washes up in Hartlepool.

  • ISBN: B0DDHV7ZF1
  • Genre: Crime, Police Procedural

What you need to know before your trail

A dead body washes up in Hartlepool. The autopsy reveals he was murdered. Police officers trace the scene of crime to the south bank of the River Tees where night watchman, Alf, keeps watch over the entrance to an old tunnel under the river.
A woman comes forward to identify the victim, claiming to be his sister. The murder weapon is found in the possession of a colleague who reported him missing. It seems that the case can be closed.

But DI Julie Tench is not so sure.

Travel Guide

North East England

The book features a good view of the part of North East England around Tees Valley and Durham, Middlesborough and the surrounding area.

There are plenty of beaches and port areas that are interesting to visit. Since this was an industrial part of the  world, there are memories of the past, of the North East history. This area was known for shipbuilding and other industries so that is a major part of the landscape in the book.
