Map Monday – They Had It Coming
Map Monday
This book – They Had it Coming – comes out in May but get this on your Mountain of Mystery – ie the TBR pile as there is quite the adventure in this book!
We’re off to Bali…..and it’s a destination thriller so the idea of a map is very appealing and appropriate for this book.

The book:
Nate and Layla, Jude and Sophie. They’ve been a four for as long as they can fancy dinners, dancing ’til dawn . . . Even living and working together.
So when Nate and Layla suddenly quit their lives and move to Bali, with its white sands and exotic beach clubs, Jude and Sophie are their first visitors. Anything to escape their life in London.
But as the two couples reunite, cracks begin to show.
Which is hardly surprising; they’ve been lying to each other for years.
And now, it’s time for revenge.

Why the idea of a map is exciting
The destination here is Bali and it’s where all kinds of things are going to take place.
Nate and Isla move out there, quitting their lives and leaving everything behind them. Their first visitors are Jude and Sophie and they seem keen to escape their own lives. Living in busy London, they want some rest and relaxation.
The fact that these two couples are so far away from home gives a great sense of place and time. You can visualise the map from London to Bali and the sheer distance in between.
The map here would be a beach, a paradise world but where the clouds are gathering…..
