The mountain that claims lives in this book.
K2, the second-highest mountain in the world, is located in the Karakoram Range of Pakistan and China. It’s partially in Pakistan-administered Kashmir and partially in China-administered Xinjiang.
The locations where they go are either fictional or vague. They stay with their aunt in Crescent Hill and there is a mention of an Ivory Springs but these are fictional. The setting is richly atmospheric – the house and surrounding area play such a pivotal role in the story and atmosphere overall.
