The BookTrail Birthday – Can’t believe I am writing this, but this year it’s the tenth anniversary of this very website!! Actually, it’s a bit older than that, but it’s ten years since the site was upgraded into the interactive site you see today.
Oh it’s a JOY to work on this site, to be so warmly welcomed and celebrated into the wonderful book community so thank you to everyone!!!

The BookTrail – Literary Travel Agency
I set it up in memory of my dad who I lost aged 5 and I’m sure he would want to thank you all too! He was the one that gave me my first globe and read Around the World in 80 Days (albeit the children’s version).
So many people make this site what it is – my team who helped get a vision to work and look good – readers who ask questions and send suggestions, authors who submit trails, publishers who send books and trails, librarians who send links and suggestions. ALL OF YOU who have welcomed me and keep hugging me in this wonderful book community.
Tough times affect us all, but in my darkest moments, book people and books have kept me and TheBookTrail going.
