A fictional village in the Midlands, England. There is a village called Barton under Needwood so that is on the map.
The fictional village is remote and somewhere off the turn off for Harlaxton as the character leaves here on his way to the village.
The crime and the story mean that this has to be a fictional setting but it sounds vague and very interesting. Makes the story even more mysterious.
