A paranormal romance that is quite literally out of this world!
A paranormal romance that is quite literally out of this world!
Calum and Beth are soul mates. While their lives are often turbulent, their eternal bond is secure – or so Calum thinks – until Beth decides to live a life on her own.
The problem is that Calum and Beth used to be together in the Upper World and so if Calum wants to get Beth back, he must return to Earth and rescue her, not to mention to try and reclaim her heart
Calum manages to reach Beth but she has no recollection of their lives together, and Beth could now be in danger so there is even more of a reason and an urgency to get Beth away from her situation. But how and is it even possible?
This is no ordinary romance or use of settings and new worlds in a novel. Sharon Clare has created an elaborate fantasy world.
The Upper World is clearly defined and Finn is an embodiment of that.
Earth in this novel is Edinburgh in Scotland (Callum is an ancient Scotsman) and a few cities in Canada so a world of two sides even before you take The Upper World into account. The portrayal of Calum’s confusion and unfamiliarity with modern technology (cars, the mini-bar, telephones etc) shows what could happen when a being from another world suddenly encounters what we are used to in the everyday.
