Why a Booktrail?
2000s: Is criminologist and foodie Cait Morgan ready for Sin City and is Sin City ready for her?
2000s: Is criminologist and foodie Cait Morgan ready for Sin City and is Sin City ready for her?
Cait Morgan and her significant other, retired cop Bud Anderson, on on their way to Las Vegas, Sin City to celebrate a birthday. Little do they know that before long, they will be caught up in perhaps one of the strangest locked room mysteries ever – one that takes place in a casino owner’s exclusive dining room
Miss Shirley, a woman acknowledged as Queen of The Strip, is murdered. Security locks down the room which means that there are ten possible murderers all trapped together with one body. Cat and Bud might have the case to trump all cases with this one.
Particularly as Miss Shirley is not the first person to die…
A locked room in a casino in Las Vegas doesn’t have the same potential for a booktrail as others in the Cait Morgan series. Still, the allure of the Casino and the Strip and the range of ‘interesting characters’ do make for a unforgettable visit to the city of sin.
An enigmatic Casino owner that everyone knows and likes but a room full of people who had at least one reason each to want her dead.
“The entire scene was bathed in the garish colors that flowed into the room from The Strip below”
The lockdown in the room happens quickly – not the kind of lockdown in a last Vegas casino that you would hope for! The focus from this moment on is on the room, all the people in it, and the claustrophobic sense that there is a killer in your midst.
