What you need to know before your trail

Cait and Bud are getting married. In a castle. But their wedding doesn’t get off to a good start as they find the castle creepy and the relentless rain a real pain. That’s nothing however to the dead body on the stairs!

Their choirmaster seems to have come to an untimely, unfortunate end but this is no accident. Despite this being the most important weekend of their lives, Cait and Bud along with Cait’s sister Sian make it their mission to solve the mystery before something else happens!

Travel Guide

Welcome to Castle Llwyd (fictional)

Owned by the Cawallader family, who built their family fortune on copper, they were inspired by the Norman keep at Cardiff Castle when they are to build their castle on a cliff top in the Gower Peninsula.
The castle on the cover is the Penrhyn Castle so that would make a nice little visit.

The castle is remarkably similar to Cardiff Castle but there are additions such as the Gothic revival wing where the guest rooms are located and there’s also a wing in the Jacobean style as his wife was obsessed with Hatfield house at the time. There’s numerous floors, spiral staircases and decades of buried secrets…

But the place for a wedding?

Though why you chose this place to get married, I’ll never know. It’s like something out of a Vincent Price movie”

The choir were brought in as Cait once enjoyed a concert at Brangwyn Hall in Swansea. With her Welsh heritage, this could have been a fairytale dreamlike she was hoping for.

This murder in Wales however does showcase much of the heritage of that part of the world   – from the beauty of the Gower Peninsula to the allure of gothic hill top castles to the mysteries of the Mabinogion – ancient stories full of death, retribution and lots of begetting.
