What you need to know before your trail

Jefferson Hinkley is an undercover investigator for the British Horseracing Authority. When he’s approached by the multi-time champion jockey, Dave Swinton, to discuss the delicate matter of losing races on purpose, he thinks it’s a gripping yet not too unusual case. Little does Jeff realise that the call would result in an attempt on his life, locked in a sauna with the temperature well above boiling point.

Dave Swinton is then found dead, burnt beyond recognition in his car at a deserted beauty spot. The police think it’s a suicide but Jeff is not so sure. He starts to investigate the possible races that Swinton could have intentionally lost but discovers instead that others are out to prevent him from doing so, at any cost.

Travel Guide

Newbury

“It was a while since I had been to Newbury , but it remained one of my favourite courses. the flat terrain gave spectators a good view of all the action from the grandstands, and the long final stretch, with four stiff fences to the finish provided a keen challenge for both horse and jockey.”

This is  novel to transport and immerse you deep in the middle of the world or horse- racing. From the noise of the horses hooves on the terrain to the smell of the horses and the breeze as they run past you, this is the competitive world with a deadly force at its core.

Newmarket

It’s not just about the dirty dealings going on however although this is realistically graphic (we imagine). It’s the racing calendar, the allure of the Cheltenham Gold Cup, the Grand National and the firmness of the terrain at Newbury.
