What you need to know before your trail

There’s never a good time to find out that your husband is cheating on you, but when you’re in the middle of renovating a hotel that you’re planning to open and offer Italian cooking classes, it’s a particularly difficult tome all round. What you need now, then, are plenty of friends, painting buddies and a bit of reassurance from your nearest and dearest that everything will be fine.

But those heading over to Tuscany are bringing their own special kind of baggage – Evie, her mum hopes to escape her own marriage problems . Then there’s Jessica, a woman who knows all too well the meaning of unrequited love. Seeing the object of her desire then, is not going to be easy.

Travel Guide

Be prepared to drink limoncello and a packet of biscotti as this book is so evocative and summery that you’ll feel you’re right there in Tuscany sitting in the ground beside a yellow walled hotel enjoying the sunshine.

Breathe in and appreciate the aroma of lines like this:

“She could smell the lemons in the air and see the moon reflected in lines of white on the lapping water”

This trip to Tuscany is a holiday and an escape for everyone involved. All of the memories and secrets have travelled to the area in their bags and once opened, they come spilling out on to the tiles and dusty Italian tracks. We’ve picked Sorrento as the booktrail location since this is one of the areas most famous for making the yellow liqueur.

Who better to guide you around Tuscany than a food blogger and a girl who loves all things Italian. The setting is straight from a summer poster in a travel agent that you just stare and wish you could walk into. This book is the door to that wish.

Booktrailer Review

Susan: @thebooktrailer

Aah this book is like sitting in the sun, with a glass of Limoncello in your hand, the Italian breeze on your face, biscotti crumbs down your front and a huge huge smile on your face.

Well that’s how I felt! It felt as fresh and lemony as the cover and if I not been sitting in public, I may have felt the need to lick the cover to see if it was real! I spent my reading of the novel imagining myself as that girl in the red dress on the bicycle.

This was a lot of fun and many scenes were just a hoot! Just as you would hope if you and a few of friends got together in a renovated Italian hotel. There’s swimming in the lake (ooh err) sunshine and biscuits, and I became so engrossed that as I found myself heading to the nearest bakery whilst reading a certain cookery scene.

This book also offers you the reader lots of good friends to spend time. The full flavour and taste of this story – Very delectable!

Pity there weren’t any recipes in the book but then again it’s probably just as well. I do seem to have wandered into a few bakeries since.
