When events of 1986 take place, the two girls involved in the mess vow never to speak again. But fast forward 25 years and Kirsty Lindsay is now a reporter, looking into a series of attacks on female tourists. She heads over to the local funfair to speak with the cleaner and realises that it’s Amber. Two girls who have not seen each other in all that time. Two girls with one wicked secret. Will they be able to keep it hidden now that they have come together?
Whitworth – luckily fictional but why not try Whitstable for a nice alternative?
Whitmouth is an insular seaside town (fictional town)
Where there is no fun, well if you count that with a double N – the kind promised at the Funnland amusement park. But at the start of the novel even the lights here have been turned off. And the park has become a blanket of sticky soft drinks and discarded gum.
This is the view of the Whitmouth at the start of the novel where the stag groups which overrun the town provide the shriek of the town’s chilling soundtrack.
For the booktrail we’ve picked out Whitstable and Whitely Bay – both seaside towns beginning with “Whit”. Whitely Bay is somewhat faded although it’s going under renovation. The remains of the old fashioned fun fair and the ghost of the once fun filled Spanish City theme park still lingers.
