Travel Guide

Glasgow

Andersen and Costello are firmly based in and around Glasgow but the city is left behind in this novel for an investigation which takes them west to Argyll and shows how evil can hide in the most beautiful of places.

Argyll

The house they go and visit close to Loch Fyne

There is a modern white concrete box with glass panels the full height of the west side making the most of the view of Loch Fyne at the front and views of the bens of Argyll National Park at the back

This is not the same landscape as Glasgow. The roads here are single track and “ dangerous for a few miles around the loch” There are few other cars on the road. But despite what goes on here;
“It is breathtakingly beautifully and deathly quiet. The silence is glorious”
The silence is what scars and chills however.Such evil stalking the beautiful surroundings. Evil lies in paradise and from Glasgow to Argyll, there are  areas where in the novel you really don’t want to stop your car.
