Domenic Jejeune, poster boy for the police has recently been promoted and so is eager to please and prove himself so he doesn’t mind ruffling a few feathers. The problem is Jejeune doesn’t really want to be a detective at all; he much prefers watching birds.
Working in the small Norfolk town of Saltmarsh, located in the heart of Britain’s premier birding country, he’s in his element. But not so much when there is a murder of a prominent ecological activist. Whoever thought birdwatchers were a quiet bunch is going to get a shock here. When a second murder takes place, everyone is shocked calling them the Saltmarsh birder murders. And the marshes which were a place of beauty and nature take on an all togheter more eerie atmosphere.
