2000s: At the height of a summer heatwave, a killer stalks the City of London.
London is sweating under a summer sun it’s not had for a long time and is certainly not prepared for. Humid air is stifling and tempers are easily frayed.
The banking world is always chaotic and busy but this time more than most for when a banker is found murdered, with a white feather on his body, this seems to be a calling card for even more grim scenes to follow
London is being worn down by the heat and the police are being worn down by this killing which merges the financial devil with the renaissance art of the heavenly angel.
Two worlds are about to collide. Then the heat will really ramp up.
The world of banking is brought to life here and with it the Square Mile in London which is known for its Wall Street like appearance and just as cut throat and deadly in more ways than one. Someone is stalking the Square Mile, killing bankers. This appears to be a vendetta and an attack on the banking world in general. The atmosphere at the heat of the banking world is very strong and heavy with resentment and bitterness as to what the bankers, – the greedy ones – have managed to wreck, bringing many other hard working people down with them.
The bankers therefore are seen as where the buck stops for a large part of the population’s woes as well as this baring the hallmarks of a more personal vendetta – Bankers have many enemies but this time, the feathers and the calling cards on the bodies from the Angel are personal.
