Paige Quinn will let nothing and no one distract her from caring for her wheelchair-bound father, Connor, and fighting for her remote, drought-stricken property, Banora Downs. Least of all a surprise farm-stay guest named Tait Cavanaugh, whose smooth words are as lethal as his movie-star smile.
Except Paige can’t help noticing that, for a city-boy, Tait seems unexpectedly at home on the land. And he does ask a lot of questions.

She herself spent most of her childhood chasing sheep on the family farm, and so has always been drawn to remote areas and small towns. She also says she loves historic homesteads and country gardens and loves tracing the journeys people take and the places people journey to and from.
Banora Downs is sadly fictional but it sounds like a typical homestead in the Australian outback. somewhere where Tait, a “city-boy” would go to for one reason or another. But this is where a city boy sticks out like a sore thumb – so when he seems to be used to the land, suspicions is raised..
