Hallie Elliot is an interior designer in San Francisco, recently engaged to Peter, a journalist and so life seems to be relatively perfect. But the bubble of happiness bursts when she finds Peter and her boss in a compromising position.
In order to escape from it all, she heads off to Lake Como, Italy to spend time with her half-sister, Portia Tesoro, who is herself dealing with the scandal – a public estrangement from her cheating husband. While staying in Tesoro, Hallie falls in love not only with Lake Como, but also with a handsome man who turns out to the the caretaker of the estate. But this stranger may not be all that he seems and she ignores the early waning signs.
However, is the new life she’s built in Lake Como all that it seems?.
Filmore Street Market is where Hallie buys lunch and it’s a great place to stop in real life. The other highlight as it’s a real restaurant – Perry’s Union street – Perry’s restaurant where Hallie meets Kendra for some advice. This is real restaurant and is very very nice indeed!
No words needed as a travel guide really as the best and only advice is to just go and sit by the lake and enjoy the view.
