Mrs Bennet has only one aim – that of finding a good match for each of her five daughters. Her husband does not have the same level of interest in this.

When two gentlemen move into their neighbourhood: the rich and eligible Mr Bingley, and his status-conscious friend, the even richer and more eligible Mr Darcy, Mrs Bennet is beside herself. While Bingley takes an immediate liking to the eldest Bennet daughter, Jane, Darcy repeatedly clashes with the Bennets’ lively second daughter, Elizabeth.
