What you need to know before your trail

Joe and Christy Davenport move into a gorgeous house on Lime Park Road in London. It all seems perfect – a lovely home, a bargain price and a nice neighbourhood. It needs furnishing but then isn’t it nice to put your own stamp on things?

Some of the neighbours are not too friendly but then that could mean they’re curious as to who is moving in at number 40. The previous occupants, the Frasers,  left with not so much as a forwarding address! Seemed to be in a bit of a hurry by all accounts.

What did happen to Amber Fraser and her husband? And just what is the secret hidden behind the closed doors of Lime Park Road?

Travel Guide

So a fictional address in London may not stretch to a booktrail of sorts but it does take you into the heart of a nice, leafy London suburb with nice homes and posh curtains  – homes like any other you walk by and wonder what lives are being lived behind their doors?

“Right from the moment she first held the keys in her hand.. something felt wrong”

Both Amber whose time in the house is what is of great interest and Christy share their experiences of living in the house via alternate chapters, building up a picture of two very different lives and personalities.

The Frasers are wealthy and decorate their house in style. Her older husband is a CEO so she is left to decide on issues of house styling and decoration. This house is her passion and she is keen to get it right. Life from the outside certainly looks cosy.

While Christy searches for answers, Amber seems set on explaining their lives and what happened   – why they had to leave.

A view of a house, an exclusive address, a sought after neighbourhood that looks perfect from the outside. Those smart and newly painted front doors, flower boxes on the windows, nice cars in the street hide a multiude of sins.

We all want more and wanting to keep up with the Joneses is a human trait but to see it played out, as if you’re looking through the windows yourself and into the hidden lives of those you envy is a nice way to see it from safe distance and be happy for what you do have.
