Lora Ffennig’s happy family life is shattered when her husband unexpectedly leaves her for another woman. Her life stops and shatters. The world she has taken for granted is suddenly very unfamiliar, and Lora must find a new compass to guide her and her children.
Set in a tight-knit Welsh-speaking community at a time when women just didn’t leave a marriage, and when adultery and divorce were huge social stigmas.
This small Welsh village in the county of Gwynedd is mostly widely known as the birthplace of Kate Roberts! She studied Welsh at the University of Bangor.
Roberts met Morris T. Williams here where Williams was a printer and they bought the printing and publishing house Gwasg Gee (The Gee Press) and moved to live here in 1935
