2000s: Indigo’s Dragon, a tale of adventure, mystery, and a legendary trip!
Indigo lives in the Lake District, and loves spending his time exploring the mountains. One day he finds his grandfather’s notebook where he discovers drawings of mythical creatures. And that is just the start of it – for after that strange things begin to happen and Indigo finds himself treating an injured magpie-cat, curing a cockatrice of its death-darting gaze, and defending a dragon.
Indigo soon realises he must uncover the secrets his family have kept hidden, but in order to do that he travels alone to the Polish mountains to search for his grandfather and the truth. However, he finds a lot more than what he bargained for…
Indigo stood on the top of Great Crag and gaze at the mountains that rolled away in every direction as far as he could see.
Indigo looked up from the valley to the slate-topped mountains in the east. He searched for signs of a cave. When he was young his mother had told him a slate dragon lived there. She sad she’s played with the dragon as a young girl in Poland, and that the dragon had followed her here, but now it was in a deep sleep. Indigo didn’t dragons anymore, but he did believe there were marvellous places to the be explored in the mountains.
If you want to see Poland’s most famous dragon then head to see The Wawel Dragon as this is the most famous dragon in Polish folklore. His lair was in a cave at the foot of Wawel Hill on the bank of the Vistula River. Wawel Hill is in Kraków, which was then the capital of Poland
