As a child, Henry believes the sea is his friend . One day he convinces Diego Garcia, a fisherman, to take him out on the water. Diego’s Water Dog Milagro comes along too
Milagro (which means Miracle) also has a special relationship with the sea. When Henry falls overboard into the ocean, Milagro leaps into the water and saves him
BAck on shore, Diego discovers that the boy has not been completely honest with him, but what he discovers is so magical, it forms part of Portuguese folklore
