Books and Crafts

I’ve posted a few crafty things I get up to when not reading as it’s a great way to relax. However, I find that I get inspired by my books and end up doing crafts inspired by characters, themes or things on the cover!

Three here for your delectation:

Craft : felting

Book – Kate Morton’s Homecoming

Felting is fun as stabbing things relieves stress! haha but the needles involved are VERY sharp and spiky and I have the scars to show for it.

Craft:  candles and felt flowers

Book : The Secrets of Blythswood Square

Candles are messy and felt flowers involve a hot glue gun so dangerous if you’re me 😉

Craft:  Decoupage

Book: Thomas True

Lots of glue involved here but it’s cold and pasty like so it’s fun to use. Love picking it off my hands afterwards like I used to do at school. aah happy days 😉

The peacock is a particular favourite as I love peacocks!

What else shall I make? Ooh the possibilities……………
