Book totes – a collection
Book tote bags
Who else collects book bags? I get lots from publishers and I buy a lot too – but the ones that I really love are the ones I get from shops I visit. Better than postcards. Some I make into cushions but I just love collecting the bags.
Some have slogans like these ones I got recently from Vienna:
It’s easy to read a lot more (from Tyrolia)
Enjoy reading (from Thalia)
“A life without books is like a childhood without fairy tales, is like a youth without love, is like an old age without peace…”.
We have lots of good sides (from Morawa)
I don’t know why, but if I buy a book from a shop and then either buy a paper bag or a tote bag, it feels good. It feels better than just buying a book on its own and putting it in your own bag. I know the paper bags might be wasteful but the joy of taking a book home in its own bag is unparalleled.
Tote bags are like bookmarks – memories of places I’ve been, books I’ve bought and handy for carrying even more books around with me!
